Giving Season 2025

Help Us Launch the Lighthouse Leadership Fund in 2026

The leaders advancing rights and opportunities for marginalized communities are navigating extraordinarily difficult circumstances right now. The loss of federal resources in 2025 has left organizations serving vulnerable communities more unsupported than ever—precisely when strong, resilient leadership matters most.

Executive coaching is one of the most powerful tools for developing leadership capacity—helping leaders build the self-awareness, strategic thinking, and resilience needed to navigate complex challenges like these and amplify their impact. Yet this transformative support remains out of reach for the very leaders who need it most.

However, executive coaching is a premium service that is typically unsustainable for most nonprofits. Even when they have leadership development funding, there's intense pressure to demonstrate strong program-to-overhead ratios, so this funding is often restricted to only a select few or at certain milestones. And finding highly qualified providers who truly understand their unique challenges and the lived experience of navigating systemic inequities?

This is why Coaching for Community Leaders (C4CL) exists.

The world of nonprofit leadership can feel daunting, and as a Founder and Executive Director, I find that I am always working to make something out of nothing. With the support of pro bono coaching with C4CL, I'm working with an Executive Coach that has been able to understand the unique challenges that exist in this space and support me in how to move from conceptualization to action. Most importantly I feel heard and seen by someone who just gets it. I am so grateful for this opportunity to help me answer the hard questions and push my thinking as a leader - one which was out of reach prior to connecting with C4CL!

The leaders advancing rights and opportunities for marginalized communities deserve the absolute best support we can provide. Their work is critical to our entire society, yet the difficulty of their missions makes their leadership incredibly challenging.

This giving season, you can make it possible for C4CL to expand our support to these leaders and launch the Lighthouse Leadership Fund to developing nonprofits in 2026.

What we built in 2025:

This year was our foundation year, and we made significant progress:

  • Served 14 nonprofit leaders across 3 nonprofit organizations through our pilot services

  • Expanded our board from 2 to 5 members committed to leading C4CL through this next bold chapter

  • Deepened our coaching bench with certified, highly experienced, and culturally attuned coaches

  • Built the infrastructure and internal processes needed to deliver services professionally and at scale

  • Piloted the Lighthouse Leadership Fund with one participant—proving the model works and leaders are ready for this support

What we’re building in 2026:

We're ready to scale our impact:

  • Expand services to at least 50 leaders through partnerships with foundations and nonprofit organizations

  • Launch the Lighthouse Leadership Fund to provide completely free coaching to at least 20 leaders of developing nonprofits (under $1M revenue or less than 10 years old)

  • Achieve nonprofit standards accreditation to increase our credibility and competitiveness for grants

  • Deepen our coaching bench's skills in serving leaders from and working with marginalized communities
