Organization: Coaching for Community Leaders, Inc (C4CL)
Reports to: Executive Director
Location: Remote, with the opportunity to support in-person events primarily in the MD Metro area (if desired)
Contract Type: Part-time 5-10 hours weekly (flexible)
Contract Term: At will / Contractor
Compensation: $25/hour

Position Overview:

C4CL is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated contractor to support key areas of our nonprofit's operations, including financial management, marketing and communications strategy, and administrative tasks. This individual will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial systems, developing and executing comprehensive marketing initiatives, and shaping and supporting our emerging business operations. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced nonprofit professional to directly shape and influence the growth trajectory of a high-potential organization using their expertise, strategic vision, and natural talents.

Key Functions:

Financial Management

  • Maintain accounting systems and oversee budget development and tracking

  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for leadership and Board

  • Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy

  • Develop and recommend financial policies and procedures

  • Assist with grant proposal budgets and provide financial data as needed

  • Prepare tax filing and compliance reports 

Communications and Marketing Support

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communications plans to promote C4CL's mission, services, and events

  • Proactively identify marketing opportunities and create strategic initiatives to expand organizational reach and engagement

  • Take full ownership of content creation and distribution across multiple channels including social media, newsletters, website, and other communications platforms

  • Manage administrative updates to the C4CL website using Squarespace

  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and recommend/implement strategies to optimize effectiveness and ROI

  • Design and implement campaign strategies for events, programs, and organizational initiatives

Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to create capacity for the Executive Director 

  • Coordinate scheduling, meetings, and communications with stakeholders

  • Maintain organizational documents, contracts, and reports

  • Assist in organizing events, workshops, or other C4CL programs

  • Assist in executing fundraising strategies

  • Support the management of donor relationships and outreach campaigns, including tracking donations, sending acknowledgments, and maintaining the donor database

  • Research potential grant opportunities and assist with grant writing as needed

Qualifications

  • Sincere alignment with C4CL values

  • Prior operations, finance, and/or budgeting experience in a nonprofit organization and Quickbooks

  • Prior communications/marketing/social media management experience

  • Proficient user of most Microsoft Office tools, Google Workspace, and demonstrated ability to adeptly learn and use new tools, such as Asana for project management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to connect with a broad range of audiences

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
